Marcin Durlak is the Managing Partner and Joint Founder of IMD Solicitors LLP and IMD Corporate. A qualified solicitor in England and Wales, Marcin is best known for his leadership, strategic vision and commitment to building high-performing, values-led legal teams.

Marcin leads the overall strategy, culture and direction of IMD, focusing on delivering outstanding client care through innovative working practices and strong, diverse teams. While no longer practising day-to-day law, he remains deeply involved in complex and cross-border matters, providing strategic oversight and guidance to clients and colleagues alike.

Before founding IMD, Marcin successfully led the international department of a major Manchester law firm, playing a key role in its expansion and international growth.

Background & Interests

Marcin holds law degrees from the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń, Poland, and Manchester Metropolitan University. Outside work, he is a proud father of three, a keen triathlete and endurance athlete, and completed his first full Ironman in 2023. He is also a member of Mensa.
