"Julie founded two legal tech companies and the largest woman-owned law firm in Northern California, with offices in Asia and Europe. A serial “Legal Technology Entrepreneur” (Bloomberg Law) and the first woman named to “Nation’s Top 10 Immigration Lawyers” (H.R. Executive Magazine), she designed software that is used by thousands of US companies and firms for immigration and employment law needs. She sold her firm and software companies between 2020 and 2022, retaining intellectual property so that she could help democratize access to quality global immigration resources and services via emerging AI technology.
She is currently advising on generative AI initiatives, investing in innovations via VC and private equity roles and as a Broadway Angel (www.broadway-angels.com), and supporting diversity on corporate boards and executive leadership via www.c200.org. Along with her amazing husband, son, and daughter, she runs the Pearl Colman Foundation to help bolster educational, environmental,l and social justice programs.
