I'm currently a senior machine learning research scientist at Genie AI.

In 2016 I finished a PhD on selection for evolvability in evolutionary algorithms.

2016-2019 I worked as a research associate at the University of Manchester on the LAMBDA project on methods of explicitly encouraging diversity in ensemble methods in deep learning, and on the PAMELA project on the integration of object detection into SLAM (simultaneous localisation and mapping) systems.

2019-2024 I was lead machine learning R&D engineer at vTime, leading a team of four engineers developing novel deep learning solutions for problems with vision, audio, text, and 3D scene data.
