What Mark Does
Mark specialises in international, appellate and high-stakes litigation, acting in some of the most high-profile cases in the UK and abroad. His practice spans constitutional and human rights law, defamation and privacy, media and data disputes, intellectual property, brand protection, art and cultural property, regulatory investigations and international arbitration.
He regularly appears before all levels of court in England and Wales, as well as international tribunals and overseas courts. Mark is also a Privy Council agent and has extensive experience in judicial reviews, Privy Council appeals and regulatory inquiries across the Commonwealth.

Mark has advised and represented governments and public bodies worldwide, including the Republic of Cyprus, Jamaica, Libya, Mauritius and the Russian Republic. He is Chair of Internews Europe and the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation, and holds senior roles with the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute and Index on Censorship.
He is also a Non-Executive Director responsible for Business & Human Rights strategy at Cygnet Healthcare, the UK arm of UHS, the largest healthcare provider in the United States.
