About Leanne

Leanne Abela is the Principal Director of Pearsons Lawyers and one of Victoria’s most experienced family law practitioners. Graduating from the University of Melbourne with degrees in Law and Arts in 1986, Leanne has practised exclusively at Pearsons throughout her distinguished career. She became a Partner in 1991 and has since conducted thousands of family law cases spanning property settlements, financial disputes, child support, parenting matters, and every other aspect of family law.

With nearly four decades of experience, Leanne brings a calm authority and deep understanding to every case. Her clients take comfort in knowing that they are guided by someone who has truly “seen it all.” Her insight into the nuances of family law enables her to anticipate challenges, strategise effectively, and deliver strong, practical outcomes — even in the most complex situations.
