About Harry

Harry Gill is one of Victoria’s most respected personal injury lawyers, with nearly 40 years of experience fighting for injured workers and accident victims. As Founding Principal, Harry is known for being personable, approachable, and refreshingly direct — clients always know exactly where their claim stands and what their options are. Unlike larger firms that treat cases like files to be processed, Harry genuinely cares about his clients and understands that litigation is only one part of their lives, not the focus of it.

Why He’s Different

Harry’s reputation extends far beyond his case results. For almost a decade, he chaired the Law Institute of Victoria’s Workers’ Compensation Committee, directly influencing Victorian WorkCover policy during a turbulent period. His lobbying and negotiation helped stabilise the scheme, modernise legislation through the Hanks Review, and introduce the Fixed Costs Model. His advocacy also led to what has been informally called the “Harry Gill amendment” — a vital change to WorkCover legislation ensuring injured workers continue to receive weekly benefits between settlement and payment of damages.

As a mentor, Harry has guided the next generation of principals, including Jeremy King and Danielle Meyer, and he continues to share his experience with junior lawyers. He is also an author, publishing widely on WorkCover, compensation, and personal injury law.
