A Scottish-qualified solicitor with extensive experience acting for both public and private sector clients, Gareth supports government bodies, investors, project companies, developers, funders and infrastructure funds on high-value, strategically significant developments.

What He Actually Does

In practical terms, Gareth helps clients structure, finance and deliver major infrastructure and energy projects from procurement through to operation and exit.

In infrastructure, his work includes:

• Project finance and funding structures
• Commercial contracts and partnering models
• Advising on PFI/PPP, NPD, Hub, BSF and LIFT models
• Government procurement and complex public sector projects
• Secondary market transactions, refinancings and project variations
• Buying and selling project interests

He has advised on major projects across accommodation, health, education, defence, transport, waste and housing sectors throughout the UK.

In energy, Gareth focuses primarily on renewables, advising on:
