David Kerr is a specialist Business Development Manager in the legal sector, based in the Glasgow, Scotland. With more than 15 years’ experience in the Scottish and wider UK legal sector, David plays a central role in driving strategic growth, strengthening client relationships, and developing scalable sales and marketing processes across many legal practice areas. 

Professional Background

David holds an LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice (Dip. LP), completing his law degree in 2011. While qualifying in law, he discovered a strong interest in marketing and business development, recognising the significant impact strategic growth planning can have within professional services.

Since then, he has worked with law firms of varying sizes and specialisms, helping them refine their sales pipelines, improve marketing effectiveness, and implement structured growth strategies. His experience spans client acquisition strategy, brand positioning, internal process optimisation, and commercial development.

David works closely with the Managing Partner in a law firm designed to facilitate and accelerate the firm’s continued expansion. His focus is on building sustainable growth frameworks while enhancing client experience and market presence.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, David spends much of his time with his children and in the gym. He has a keen interest in Powerlifting and Strongman competitions, taking part in events throughout the year. He also coaches girls’ youth football and occasionally provides personal training – reflecting his disciplined, team-focused and performance-driven mindset. He is Head Coach at Vibes FC, won Volunteer of the Year in Girls & Women’s football 2025 and is a part-time PT.
