Daniel Johnson is a Partner at Three Graces Legal and serves as the firm’s Compliance Officer for Financial Administration (COFA) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). He specialises in commercial litigation, debt recovery, and handling civil court claims across England and Wales.

With over 12 years of experience acting for both Claimants and Defendants, Daniel brings a rare, balanced insight into complex civil disputes. His early career at two top-fifty commercial firms, followed by work at one of the largest claimant firms in the northwest, shaped his ability to understand cases from every angle.

Daniel co-founded Three Graces Legal with Aaron Pearson to deliver a more commercial, agile, client-focused legal service—tailoring solutions to modern client expectations, budgets and business pressures.

Experience

Daniel’s early career focused heavily on the retail sector, defending major multinational clients in high-volume civil claims. He later moved to a major claimant firm to broaden his skill set, advising individuals on a wide variety of disputes and gaining deeper appreciation for the human impact behind legal problems.

Over the last four years, Daniel has developed a strong commercial practice, acting for SMEs in debt recovery, contract disputes and wider civil litigation. His strategic insight has resulted in significant financial recoveries for clients.

As the firm’s COFA, Daniel oversees compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and ensures the firm meets the SRA’s high regulatory standards. This hands-on governance experience gives him an exceptional understanding of risk, compliance and operational management.

Personal

Outside work, Daniel is a committed runner training toward ultramarathons (injuries permitting), an avid reader, and a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter.
