Education and Professional Background

Avi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University before studying law at the University of London. He later completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Public International Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Before founding his own international law practice in Toronto, Avi trained and worked with prominent legal organisations in Israel, including completing his articles at a leading Tel Aviv law firm and serving as an in-house lawyer and trustee at an investment house. Earlier in his career, he also served in an elite intelligence unit of the Israel Defence Forces and worked as a legal copy editor for the Association of Jewish Lawyers’ Justice Magazine.
